Description: This discussion delves into the complicated environment of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders, studying the pervasive stigma surrounding its use. MAT, which combines medications with counseling/behavioral therapies, has emerged as a critical tool in addressing addiction. However, despite its success, MAT continues to face significant stigmatization within both medical and societal circles.
